I have done a good handful of single pitches and even some multi-pitches. I think I am just not good with the exposure of towers. It can really spook me.

Neal, HA HA! I know. Next time I am in Moab I am going straight to Millcreek. =)

Triznut, yeah, I will definitely give it another go. Man, I think that day must have just been a real off day. Seriously... I almost threw up on a rappell?!

Route Slayer, the nickname fits you perfectly. =)

Re: Fixed gear, please.

Man that was a scary climb! It is amazing we made it to the top. I do like sport climbing better also! The only reason I like trad is to make it to the top of something cool. By the way, I like the new nick name, it makes me sound hard core

Re: Fixed gear, please.

Don't give up on Trad yet Rach! Good times for sure! That trip has me excited for all the others that'll be going down this season. Climb-on Rach!

Re: Fixed gear, please.

Brilliant write-up and proud of you making the top considering how spooked you sounded :)
Well done for sticking with it!
and it's o.k. cause you've got so much sports climbing around (did somebody say Mill Creek?!?!) that it doesn't matter if you prefer sports :)

Re: Fixed gear, please.

Way to go on your climb , it looks like an amazing place. For somebody venturing into the trad world that's an intimidating start. :)

You probably had built up the 2 trad leads into some awful emotionally draining monster which killed your self confidence. Which is no bad thing, its better to be safe than sorry. Trad is a cool, if scary, way to climb. You could drop your grades and stick to single pitch and less intimidating stuff to see if you really do have a talent for it. Then head back out onto the towers. Don't give up on it yet!
